Southwest Destinations

The Southwest United States is culturally and ethnically diverse. It always includes New Mexico and Arizona but we have also included Nevada, Texas, and Utah.

The ethnicity population of this area is European American, Mexican American, and American Indian.

The area has many large cities as well as miles of deserts. In between are agricultural areas.

Food is popular in this region. There are many variations. Tex-Mex is a variation of Mexician cuisine generally found in Texas while the Cuisine of New Mexico uses a lot of spicy chiles ( which are grown in the area), and the cuisine of Arizona relies more on heavy sauces. California has its own variations on this theme.
